We are looking for the teacher who is passionate about building confidence in children by helping them achieve their goals. We are looking for the kind of teacher who changes a child's life by encouraging them and believing in them. We are looking for the teacher who is patient and kind to the child who is hurting and neglected and the teacher who can push even the highest performing student to reach even higher expectations. Who We Are
The Copiah County School District serves approximately 3,000 students in grades K-12 at Crystal Springs and Wesson. Located in Southwest Mississippi, we are a short drive from shopping and dining in the Jackson Metro area and close enough for a day trip to Biloxi or New Orleans. Come visit and see what we have to offer. Our rural setting takes you away from the daily traffic found in larger cities but not too far to enjoy the conveniences of big city living.
What we offer
CCSD strives to be at the forefront of education. We employ a 1:1 device policy to ensure that all of our staff and students have the modern tools they need to be successful in an increasingly digital world.
Our district is focused on the professional growth of our teachers, and we support our teachers as they strive to learn new skills. Opportunities for earning Continuing Education Credits are held on our campuses regularly. We believe that by committing to the development and continuous support of those leading our classrooms, we will ensure students receive the quality education that they deserve.
